Frequently asked questions
At Verdora Living, we believe clarity is a form of care. Whether you're exploring biophilic design for the first time or refining a healing space, our consults are built to meet you where you are—sensory needs, emotional goals, and all. Below are answers to the most common questions clients ask, so you can feel confident, informed, and supported every step of the way.
What is biophilic design, and how is it different from interior decorating?
Biophilic design reconnects people with nature through sensory elements like light, airflow, plants, textures, and rhythms. Unlike traditional decorating, it’s rooted in environmental psychology, trauma-informed care, and wellness science.
Do I need to have a garden or outdoor space to benefit?
Not at all. Biophilic design works beautifully in apartments, studios, and even single rooms. It’s about creating sensory harmony—whether through natural materials, plant placement, or seasonal cues.
What’s the difference between remote and on-site consults?
Remote consults include detailed assessments via photos, video walkthroughs, and intake forms. On-site consults offer immersive support, including sensory mapping, live walkthroughs, and optional co-design sessions. Travel radius and accessibility needs are always honored.
Can I combine biophilic design with Feng Shui or garden consults?
Yes! Many clients choose hybrid consults that integrate biophilic principles with Feng Shui or garden planning. These bundles are designed to support emotional regulation, trauma recovery, and sensory wellness across all zones.
Is this service trauma-informed?
Absolutely. Every consult is designed with emotional safety, sensory regulation, and accessibility in mind. Michelle’s training in trauma-informed coaching and space clearing ensures your experience is empowering and respectful.
Do you offer follow-up support or design implementation?
Each consult includes a custom guide and optional follow-up call. While Verdora Living doesn’t offer full installation services, Michelle provides sourcing tips, seasonal refresh strategies, and referrals when needed.
How do I know which tier is right for me?
Start with the intake form—it’s designed to guide you toward the consult that best fits your space, goals, and sensory needs. Michelle also offers a free 15-minute clarity call to help you choose.
